Once upon a time, I was a traveller, a nomad in time and space. Then, for a while, I was a teacher. But sometimes you need something more than that. Something to combat the darkness.

But here are the facts: I teach at FU, I write, I may be Scottish, and yes, I'm happily married to the mayor. And that, for now, is all you need to know.

Character Residence/Roommates and approximate location: The penthouse of L'Orinoco, Strawberry Fields (Map: M12). A privileged few are aware that the TARDIS is also located within said penthouse. John's loft apartment across the street from the east side of campus, (Map: L19) , is available to sublet.
Character Class Schedule: QPHY 101: Introduction to Quantum Physics (MW, 2-3 PM); office hours MW 1-2 PM.

Brief Character Description: Publically: fairly jovial, slightly geeky and quite intelligent, very, very determined. Privately: one of the whitest of white hats, a reluctant hero and maintenance man for the spacetime continuum.

Special Character Powers/Abilities: Above average physical senses, slightly telepathic and empathic.
Brief Character History: The Doctor initially hailed from Gallifrey, where he was a bit of a rebel. Wanting to do more than just keep the balance, he struck out on his own in the TARDIS, picking up and dropping off various companions along the way, and saving the universe and various sundry planets on a fairly regular basis. Within the past two years of his own subjective time, he was forced into a choice that led to him destroying his own home planet and people to the point where they never existed--essentially retconning them out of existence--in order to keep the evil Dalek race from killing all other intelligent life in the universe. This event is still fresh and traumatic, and has led him to both settle down somewhat and become even more desperate in his attempts to promote what's good and right. That doesn't mean he's not bewildered by the temporal and dimensional nexus that he's plopped down in...
